A good way to remember the major symptoms of a stroke is using F-A-S-T:
A stroke occurs when the blood supply in a part of the brain slows down or stops completely. Without access to oxygen and important nutrients, brain cells can start dying within minutes. The patient experiencing a stroke needs medical attention immediately, otherwise the damage continues to increase.
